Ok I'm going to rant a little bit here-
I am a novice photographer- I know that
I am NOT horrible at what I do
I understand I have plenty of areas to improve upon- which is why I blatantly ask for feedback
I submit my photos to every group I possibly can that match the subject
When my photos are declined I don't get upset, I simply ask for a reason. So that I may fix the problem next time.
What I'm insanely irritated with is when I get responses such as "I don't remember your submission, someone else must have voted against it" or "it doesn't meet our quality standards" ok that one is fine as long as you tell me WHY when it is very obviously in focus and not blurry or over saturated and not noisy- so how exactly does it not MEET YOUR STANDARDS!??!
2 responses in particular set me off today
1) There is no contrast and she doesn't look happy to be there.

2) This looks like a snapshot to me and not a portrait.

If I'm wrong, I'm wrong- but really!?!?
Please someone tell me I'm not crazy!
